Two 60” asymmetrical rectangles of hand painted, block printed contrast color jacquards married with a long Kimono trim pip. Haiku poetry with a small prayer flag accent. Reverses to a solid jacquard silk.

Artist Note: Haiku series uses Issa’s 18th century children’s poems rendered in Japanese calligraphy. Gingko Peach and Copper Leaves use 12th century Buddhist text in Chinese calligraphy.
